What we check before your first trip
We carry animals that cannot speak up for themselves, often without their owner present. The checks are not a formality.

Before you apply
Do I need a special vehicle?
For accompanied trips, a clean and well-maintained car is enough. To carry pets travelling alone, the vehicle needs a secured carrier crate, rear ventilation and an interior that can be cleaned properly — we inspect it before clearing you for that work.
Do I need experience with animals?
Not to start. Accompanied trips have the owner present. Handling certification takes training, and it is what unlocks the better-paid unaccompanied work.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing to join, and no commission on your fares. You pay a flat ₹100 a month to use the app and receive bookings — that is PetCab's entire revenue from partner drivers. Every rupee a customer pays for the ride is yours.
How do I get paid?
On a cash trip the customer pays you directly and it is done — there is nothing to settle, because we take no cut. When a customer pays online, the full fare is transferred to you.
Can I drive an auto?
Yes. Autos are a big part of what we do in Bangalore — often the cheapest way to get one pet across town. Autos handle local and railway trips; airport and outstation work needs a cab.
What paperwork do I need?
A valid driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance, and police verification. All of it is checked before your first trip.
